It’s a year already since I last had my first ever spring experience here in Japan. It was definitely one of the most surreal moments I have up to this time. How would you not love it – with the fleeting beauty of the ever famous cherry blossoms (sakura) gracing the country’s parks and countryside areas one could say it’s like magic. And whether you are local or foreign tourist, you should never miss Hanami.
Grilling food over charcoal simply reminds me a lot of my country knowing that growing up I’ve always love eating pork barbeque. But certainly that yearning to taste that salty smoky flavor isn’t a problem here in Japan. Their version is definitely one of the best I’ve tried so far. They call it Yakitori, grilled chicken skewers cut in small bite sizes. They use all parts of the chicken from the skin to the internal organs so no parts get wasted. It is then seasoned with either salt (shio) or sauce (tare) for customer’s preference. However, I love both. Local Japanese and even foreign tourists enjoy Yakitori with an ice cold beer which obviously take all the stress away after a tiring day at work. So, it’s a delightful treat for salary men (business men) and it comes with a reasonable price and others may cost roughly around 200 yen. Good news for those who are on a tight budget.
This Japanese cuisine has certainly been well-known not just for its taste but the overall satisfaction it provides to the customers. Here are the famous types of Yakitori you can surely enjoy when visiting Japan.
To watch movies is definitely one activity we all share to enjoy, but genres do vary. But I’m sure you guys have your top lists too. But most of the time, choosing the best ones isn’t as easy as we thought it was. We always differ with our preferences depending on who’s the actor, director, the story, the genre of movie we love to watch or simply with our mood? Confusing right? But it’s always what you feel after watching it that matters.
So I’m kind of excited to share my top romantic movie choices with you guys on this post. Some of these you may have watched already and probably may not be your favorite choice though. Feel free to share your thoughts on these films in the comment box below.
Tokyo : City of Skyscrapers
Living in a bustling city like Tokyo would mean being literally busy and fast the whole day. It never came to my mind that one day I would be here. It seems like everyone is heading to a single direction – work. But I could not forget the first time I arrived here. It was as if I was just a minute creature surrounded by gigantic buildings. To be in a new place like Tokyo I certainly never missed my chance of seeing massive infrastructures built with utmost quality. From buildings to bridges to subways, this city has certainly a lot to offer. I could not help but be amazed by how developed this city is as compared to the descriptions I have read in books. Even to this date, the feeling of gazing at these massive structure is surreal.
Be Vendo Surprised!
Whenever you think of convenience, there is always one country that comes to mind – Japan.
It is truly surprising how this country live up to the definition of the word convenience. Their vending machines are a solid proof to that. But, convenience shops are not an exemption on this category for sure. Once you arrive at the airport you will come across with several vending machines offering varied types of goods. Take note – “VARIED”.
